Parent Teacher Conferences
A principal or a teacher may request a conference at any time with the parent/guardian to discuss the progress and/or problems of the student. These conferences are highly encouraged for they are beneficial to the student, parent/guardian, and teacher. Such conferences should be schedules with the individual teacher.
Parents may call the school to schedule a conference with a teacher at any time during the school year. The teacher will schedule a time that is convenient to both the teacher and the parent/guardian.
Conferences with all of the student’s teachers may be made by calling 252-399-7905. These conferences may be scheduled before or after school whenever convenient for the parent/guardian, and teacher. Conferences will not be scheduled during the week prior to or after scheduled County Parent/Teacher Conference Dates.
Lockers and Locks
Four simple steps must be followed in order to purchase a lock:
1. Homeroom teacher will allow student to choose their own locker location.
2. Student will need to tell their homeroom teacher the locker number he/she wants.
3. Homeroom teacher records the locker number on the receipt.
4. Student brings the receipt to an administrator in order to receive the lock. The cost of a school lock is $5.00. Any locker without a lock will have all items removed. The locker will be secured and the contents brought to the main office. The student must use only the locker that has been assigned to him/her. Any lock that is not a combination lock will be removed from the locker. Students are responsible for the upkeep of their locker. No posters, writing, stickers, or insignias, are permitted on or in the lockers. The school will not be responsible for articles or books lost from students lockers. Students are also reminded that there should be no sharing or exchanging of lockers. Any violation of locker rules may result in an in-school or out-of-school suspension.
